The Coop
A branch of the Harvard Cooperative Society, the “Coop,” is located in the Longwood Medical Area at 333 Longwood Avenue. Among other items, clothing, souvenirs, and books can be purchased there. The Coop is open Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays. We have arranged for a 15% discount on all insignia clothing at the Harvard Medical Coop (on Longwood Ave.) for the length of the program. In order to receive the discount, show your name badge at the register. The main store of the Harvard Cooperative Society is located in Harvard Square in Cambridge, at the Harvard stop on the Red Line of Boston’s subway system.

Walk the Freedom Trail (On your own or with an Audio Guide)
The Freedom Trail is a 2-1/2 mile trail, marked by a wide red brick line, connecting 16 of Boston’s most historic sites.

Visit Old North Church
Old North Church, built in 1723, is the oldest church building in Boston and houses the oldest church bells in North America. On the night of April 18, 1775, the sexton Robert Newman climbed the steeple and briefly hung two lanterns. This small act touched off the War for Independence.
